I love, love. I understand what love means, how to walk in love, and how to speak lovingly. When
I met my husband, I learned about a new love. I have never loved
someone so much before, and getting married "sealed" our love. My
husband knows all there is about me, and loves me anyways.
When my daughter was born almost 5 months ago, I learned about another love. [I really started learning about it the second I found out I was pregnant]. The moment we heard her cry for the very first time, I'll never forget. This little person has completely changed our lives. I'm still awestruck that she is mine. She was part of me for 9 months. I felt her kicks, punches, and hiccups. I would daydream about what she might look like, and worry about things I had no control over.
Love is one of those emotions that can take you on a roller coaster. It will make you cry tears of happiness, but also sadness. It can make you scream with joy, and in anger. It can make you say things you need to, but also say nothing when needed.
My love towards my daughter makes me so excited to see her grow up, but also sad that she's growing so fast. I get so proud about all her little milestones, like rolling over, that I reminisce about how just a couple months ago, I still had to support her head.
As a new mom, I didn't expect how many times throughout the day that I would look at my baby and think "I can't believe you're mine". I am so blessed to be M's mama.
This new love has made my heart full. I didn't know what I was missing.
